Obituary for Darryl L. Wise
Darryl Lee Wise, 61, of New Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his home. Born December 15, 1961 in Chambersburg, he was a son of Richard Leo Wise and the late Lois Wolfe Wise.
Darryl was employed as a mason for many years. He also drove truck, worked as a concrete finisher, worked in paving, and in carpentry over the years. He enjoyed working on and collecting cars and playing poker with his friends.
In addition to his father, Darryl is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kimberla Wible Wise, whom he married on December 15, 1981; two children, Matthew Lee Wise (Candice) of Santa Fe, TX, and Nathan Taylor Wise of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Colin and Raven Wise; four siblings, Richard Wise, Jr. (Patty), James Wise (Kathy), Karen Middaugh (Frank) and Carla Rinker (Earl); three step-siblings, Stacey Rosenberry, Steve Farrel and Randy Farrel. Aside from his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Wise.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Lonnie Shover will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
