Obituary for Christine Mildred Wenger (Horn)
Christine M. Wenger, 100, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at her home. Born November 19, 1920 in Horse Valley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles B and Anna Guyer Horn. Her beloved husband, Glenn A. Wenger, preceded her in death in 1989.
Christine was a member of New Guilford Brethren In Christ Church in Chambersburg and volunteered at the Gospel Tide radio program. She was employed as a LPN at the Chambersburg Hospital and later at Hartman and Lehman and Dr. Hendrickson’s office until her retirement. Christine enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by five children, Linda W. Kaiser, Glenn A Wenger, Jr., Charles L. Wenger, Garry S. Wenger, and Jeffrey L. Wenger; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Aside from her parents and husband, Christine is preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Clifford Horn.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Lawton Jacobs will officiate. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 AM at New Guilford Brethren In Christ Church, 1575 Mont Alto Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, June 9, 2021, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
