Obituary for Christine Maryann Hoffman (Perginski)
Mrs. Christine M. (Perginski) Hoffman, 86, of Chambersburg, PA passed away December 20, 2020 in her home. Born July 16, 1934 in Shamokin, PA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Regina “Jean” (Petrovich) Perginski.
She was a graduate of Coal Township High School with the Class of 1952. Mrs. Hoffman then went on to obtain her nursing degree in 1955. She served as a nurse in the United States Airforce from 1956 until her honorable discharge in 1959.
Mrs. Hoffman enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and was active in the National Federation of Garden Clubs where she was an accomplished judge. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.
She is survived by a sister Rita Lisinski of Chambersburg; a daughter Donna J. Cohen and two grandchildren, Natalie and Zachary Cohen.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John C. “Jack” Hoffman who passed away in 2011 and two children, Teresa L. Hoffman who passed away in 2004 and John C. Hoffman, Jr who passed away in 2008.
Inurnment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA at a later date.
Services have been entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
