Obituary for Charles T. "Tim" Reed
Charles T. “Tim” Reed, age 66, of McConnellsburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Born October 17, 1955, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Donald R. and Agnes M. “Mae” Thomas Reed.
Tim was a 1973 graduate of CASHS. He went on to work for the former Grove Manufacturing for 15 years, and then spent the last 25+ years working for the Chambersburg Area School District until his retirement in 2019.
An avid sports fan, Tim especially loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed classic cars, especially Lincolns, hunting, and the outdoors. Above all, Tim especially cherished time spent with his granddaughters.
Surviving is his son, Thomas “Tommy” Reed (wife Brandy Hutchison-Reed) of St. Thomas, PA; two granddaughters, Clare and Ava Hutchison-Reed, and four siblings, Tina M. Lightner (Chris), Victoria K. Hoover, Debra E. Partin (Arnold), and Lori A. Stevens (Clinton) all of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy S. Reed and a brother, James Michael Reed.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 7 PM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Clinton Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
