Obituary for Cecil Grant Snyder
Cecil Grant Snyder, 69, of Chambersburg, passed away on February 4, 2021 at his home. Born March 12, 1951 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Gerald W. and Pollyann Shaw Snyder.
Cecil was a 1971 graduate of CASHS and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. A US Air Force veteran, he served honorably during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a mechanical designer for John Deere and as a ski instructor at Aspen Mountain, CO. Part of his job at Aspen which he greatly enjoyed was taking blind skiers down the mountain with him. Cecil also enjoyed geology.
He is survived by four siblings, Joyce M. McGhee of St. Thomas, Gary W. Snyder of Chambersburg, Randy L. Snyder of Waynesboro and Luann Paige of Denton, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
