Obituary for Carol A. Foreman
Carol A. Foreman, age 74, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Laurel Lakes Nursing Home. Born March 10, 1947, in Shippensburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Helen Reath.
A 1965 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School, Ms. Foreman went on the work for the former J. Schoenaman Company, where she retired after 21 years. After retirement she began working in the cafeteria at the Chambersburg Area School District, where she eventually retired after 15 years. Ms. Foreman was a member of the AmVets, Vietnam Vets, Marine Corps League, VFW and Moose Lodge all in Chambersburg. She was also a member of the Chambersburg and Ft. Loudon American Legions and The Minnequa in Shippensburg. She enjoyed dancing, Bingo, shopping, games shows, Soaps, and her grandchildren.
Surviving are two children, Randy L. Foreman (wife Candy) of Fayetteville, PA and Stacey Foreman (Stacey Statler) of Greencastle, PA; two grandchildren, Kayla Statler (Brian Teller) of Greencastle, PA and Ashley Henry (Justin) of Fayetteville, PA; two great-grandchildren, Daelyn Statler and Brycen Teller; three siblings, Arlene Shauf, Darlene Simmers, and Charlene Smith; and her Aunt, Dorie Rife. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene Putt.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Robert Hart will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 8 from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
