Obituary for C. Glenn Koons

C. Glenn Koons, 98, of Chambersburg, PA passed away the evening of Friday, March 12, 2021 in Menno Haven. Born June 8, 1922, he was the son of the late Victor D. Koons and Susan Hykes Koons. Glenn was a faithful member of Chambersburg Church of the Brethren. He along with his wife, Lorraine “Betsy” Koons, founded Scotland Road Market, Inc./The Butcher Shoppe. Mr. Koons was a man of gentle spirit. He lived simply with steadfast faith and deep abiding love for his wife and family. As a business owner, he led with integrity, generosity and wisdom. He was passionate in serving his staff and customers. Simply stated, he was a true gentleman who showed the grace and love of Jesus Christ to others.

He is survived by his two children, Terry G. Koons (Carol) and Mary Sue Keath (Frank) both of Chambersburg, PA. He will be cherished and lovingly missed by his five grandchildren, Lori Ann Long (David), Tricia L. Maciejewski (Mark), Adam M. Keath (Melanie), Anne E. Schoenhofen (Leo), Kyle W. Keath (Gabrielle), and by his thirteen great-grandsons, Grant Schoenhofen, Aaron Keath, Owen Keath, Enoch Keath, Pierce Schoenhofen, Maxwell Riley, Brady Maciejewski, Cooper Keath, Isaac Schoenhofen, Levi Maciejewski, Henry Schoenhofen, Shepherd Keath and Wilder Keath. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant sister and his beloved wife, Lorraine.

Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family in Parklawns Memorial Gardens with Rev. Joel Nogle officiating. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
