Brenda K. Talhelm, 76, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Chambersburg Hospital, with her family by her side. Born March 27, 1946 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen (Shatzer) Forbes, and widow of the late Harold E. Talhelm, who preceded her in death on February 27, 2020.

A 1964 graduate of the former St. Thomas High School, Bren worked in various capacities in the Chambersburg area over her lifetime, including as a florist, in retail, and most recently as a school bus driver. She was skilled in floral arranging and interior decorating.

Bren is survived by her son, Erik Perviance of Chambersburg; granddaughter Kirstin Perviance of San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Carla Phenicie and husband Ronald of Scottsdale, AZ, Vicki Gibbs of Chambersburg, and Melody Shuman and husband Rodney of Chambersburg; nieces, Heather (Gary) Goodman, Jennifer (Michael) Foster, Jamie (David) Kolsun, Kelsey (Taylour) Hammond; nephew Judson (Teta) Hartman; and numerous great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Harold, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Forbes, Jr.

At her request, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
