Obituary for Beverly J. Babb (Foust)
Beverly J. Babb, 75, of Chambersburg, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Chambersburg Hospital with her family by her side. Born February 11, 1946 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late J. Ross and Mary Holtry Foust.
Early in her life, Beverly was employed at the Stanley Company and later was employed in the office at Save-A-Center in the Norland Shopping Center. Beverly served as secretary and treasurer of Letterkenny Township for eight years. She was a member of Chambersburg Bible Church. Beverly enjoyed going to craft shows and knitting.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerhard Babb, whom she married on July 11, 1964; three daughters, Tammy Ressler (husband Frank) of Shippensburg, Diana Johnson (husband Timothy) of Shippensburg, and Jody Sprecher (husband Jason) of Chambersburg; six grandchildren, Nicole Martin, Cory Ressler, Nathan Ressler, Dylan Johnson, Hope Sprecher and Faith Sprecher; four great grandchildren, Makenna, Camden, Madelynn, and Atlee; and two siblings, Dale Foust of Roxbury, and Donna Rosenberry of Shippensburg. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by three siblings, Jack Foust, Robert Foust and Nancy White.
Funeral services for Beverly will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Gary Yoder will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Chambersburg Bible Church, 810 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
