Bertha L. “Bertie” Furry, 93, of Fayetteville, PA, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Stonebrook Personal Care at Paramount Senior Living in Fayetteville. Born May 6, 1928 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Peter Carl and Freda Cook Ott. Early in her life she had been employed at the former Penn Hall Girl’s Preparatory School and later retired from South Mountain Restoration Center where she had worked for 15 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed crafts and she and her late husband enjoyed traveling and camping. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in McKnightstown. Her husband, David E. Furry, preceded her in death on March 19, 2000.

She is survived by her son, David E. Furry and wife Jodi of Fayetteville; two grandsons, Aaron David Furry and David McCans and wife Lorrie; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Brooke McCans; and her companion, Tillie. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Kay McCans on August 28, 2013 and two brothers, Elwood and Donald Ott.

Services and interment in Norland Cemetery will be private.
