Barbara J. Hargadon, 78, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at Brookview at Menno Haven. Born July 18, 1944 in Springfield, MA, she was a daughter of the late Mario John and Florence E. Ivers Menocal. Following high school graduation Mrs. Hargadon went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Towson State. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Hagerstown, MD and Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Chambersburg. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed woodworking and inventions. She and her husband traveled for 10 years with the Airstream Club.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Hargardon, Jr., whom she married August 12, 1977; her son, Trevor Thomas and wife Ginger of Blacksburg, VA; her grandson, Paul Thomas; her sister, Margaret Chigas; and her brother, John Menocal and wife Heidi.

A gathering to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 in the Arbor Room and Village Square.
