Arthur W. Sord, 84, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 4, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. Born March 12, 1936 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Herbert W. and M. Mae Leevy Sord. A truck driver all of his life, Mr. Sord was employed with Charles W. Karper Trucking for 35 years prior to his retirement. He then worked part-time as a driver with Generation Trucking. He enjoyed puzzles, pitching horseshoes, attending festivals, and playing games with his family, especially Yahtzee.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie M. Seburn Sord, whom he married August 27, 1955; his daughter, Margaret Hinkle (James) of Chambersburg; his son, A. Elwood Sord of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Dustin Hinkle, Kristy Horst, and Nichole Reichard; and two great-grandchildren, Cole and Kenzie Horst. He is also survived by four sisters, Verna Rife (Roy) of Chambersburg, Patricia Baughman of Fayetteville, W. Darlene Sord of Fayetteville, and Shirley Helman of New Franklin.

A private family graveside service will be held at Norland Cemetery.
