Obituary for Andrew C. "Andy" Shreiner
Andrew C. “Andy” Shreiner, 53, of Chambersburg, PA passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 17, 2020 in his home. Born August 23, 1967 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Eugene B. “Ben” and Joyce A. (Creamer) Shreiner.
Andy was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1985 where he played and excelled at baseball and was part of the 1984 team that won the PIAA Championship. He went on to attend Louisburg Junior College, North Carolina where he also played baseball. Baseball was a big part of his life and he gladly passed that passion onto his son. Andy coached baseball for Shippensburg High School and for other local teams. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was currently employed as a warehouse supervisor at LB Water, Chambersburg. He was with the company for over 30 years.
Andy is survived by a son, Andrew P. Shreiner of Chambersburg; four siblings, Michael A. (Danielle) Shreiner of Harrisburg, PA, Debra L. Huston of Chambersburg, Virginia S. Shreiner of Mercersburg, PA and Thomas G. (Regina) Shreiner of Chambersburg and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Open Door Church, 600 Miller Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. CDC social distancing and mask guidelines will be in place. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg.
