Alice M. Purvis Quivers, 90, of Chambersburg, PA, passed peacefully on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2020 at her home. Born October 1, 1929 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Curtis Purvis, Sr. and Marion L. Norman Purvis. Mrs. Quivers was a graduate of the former Chambersburg High School. A homemaker most of her life, she was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Chambersburg. Her husband, Maurice L. Quivers, Sr., preceded her in death.

She is survived by four children, Gwendolyn Allen of Pittsburgh, Suvina Holmes (David) of Greencastle, Maurice “Peanut” Quivers, Jr., (Jill) of Mercersburg, and Ramona “Kitten” Teal (Eric) of Lusby, MD; five grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Marion “Dotty” Virginia Purvis and Helen “Mebe” Berry, both of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Curtis Purvis, Jr., Donald Purvis, Ralph Purvis, Sr., and Eugene “Pete” Purvis.

Services and interment in Lebanon Cemetery will be private.
