Obituary for Adam Richard Mayeski
Adam Richard Mayeski, 36, of Newburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at his home. Born May 19, 1986 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of Rev. Samuel Mayeski and Janice Oller Mayeski.
Adam was a 2005 graduate of Lighthouse Christian Academy. He was employed as a manager at Game Stop for 17 years. Adam was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed following the Philadelphia Eagles, the Boston Red Sox, and loved playing baseball. He lived in Trinidad with his family while doing mission work and developed a love for cricket and soccer. He also enjoyed gaming and spending time with his friends and family, especially his children, Madison and Owen.
In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by his wife, Andrea (Hill) Mayeski, whom he married on October 17, 2009; two children, Madison and Owen Mayeski; brother, Aaron Mayeski (wife Ashley) of Dry Run; maternal grandmother, Joy Oller; paternal step-grandmother, Ruby Mayeski; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rev. David Oller; paternal grandparents, Rev. Anthony Mayeski and Catherine Mayeski.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2022 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Dr. Meagan M. Boozer will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
