Rosalie Strayer, age 57, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly in the Chambersburg Hospital on Monday, March 16, 2015. Born June 7, 1957 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Helen Meck Seilhamer and the late Robert L. Seilhamer.
Rosalie worked in medical records at Summit Health for the last two years and at keystone Health prior to that. In addition to caring for her family, Rosalie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, cross stich, and most of all gardening. She was a 1975 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.
In addition to her mother, Rosalie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Alan Strayer, whom she married on August 31, 1975; two children, Laura Danielle Fumagalli (husband Brandon) of Hagerstown, MD and Alan Robert Strayer of State College, PA; a granddaughter, Taylor Fumagalli; and a brother, Gerald Seilhamer (wife Debra) of York, PA.
Funeral services in honor of Rosalie will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Rev. Murray Stevens will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 7 – 9 PM and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home on Monday. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
