I will always remember Lowell and his wife Alice. He was the most generous man I ever met. He took in my Dog, Lukey when we had to move. He and hid family were my only friends during my years up near Pine Grove Furnace. I thought of them often and just recently looked them up to find they both have passed away. Both were wonderful people. I'll always be grateful to them for all their help in my younger days.

I don't expect many, if any, posts on this funeral home page. Dad did not use a computer, he abhorred most things modern, and most of his peers are already gone. I'm posting my thoughts because I have to use a computer for life and things, and I want something digital to be out there in the ethernet of humanity regarding him. He was a complicated individual, but he truly cared about his family, people, and things. The amount of unspoken charities he did to help others is immense, but most will never know because he didn't talk about it. In many ways he was the under dog, but to his family he was much more than that. He was insightful on history and a variety of topics, and those who knew him sensed that, or better yet, heard confirmation via his well intended diatribes. He taught us that the woods and land are to be valued, that the past is to be learned from, and that the world is far more intriguing than what we are told. He challenged the perceptions of life that most of us are made to follow, and he was right in doing so. He is a father and husband that will be missed. No one lives forever, but there is never a good time to lose a parent, even when it is imminent. He is a person who was loved and that mattered, and one who impacted many, and that matters much to us.
